Lighter trading agents
Updated by the Circuit team
Automate Lighter
Lighter is an order-book exchange for perpetual futures and spot pairs. Circuit agents trade it from your wallet with the same order types they use on Hyperliquid. A strategy can run on either venue or compare the two. Agents also trade Lighter Robinhood. It is Lighter's separate deployment on Robinhood Chain with stock and ETF perps and spot pairs margined in USDG.
Orders agents place
Agents open and reduce perp positions and buy and sell spot pairs such as ETH/USDC. They choose market orders or limits that fill immediately, rest on the book or post only as a maker. Resting limits last at most 28 days. Orders size to each market's decimals. Orders below the market's minimum size or minimum notional fail before they reach the venue.
Backtest on recorded markets
Circuit replays an agent against recorded Lighter perp markets without a wallet or onchain writes. You can compare settings in minutes before a live test. Lighter orders in a backtest follow Lighter's current size, price and minimum rules.
Cross-venue strategies
Running on both Lighter and Hyperliquid lets agents compare prices and funding for the same asset. An agent can short the perp on the venue that pays more funding and hold the long on the other. Lighter pays funding every hour like Hyperliquid. The funding rate arbitrage guide works through the math.
Test before you risk money
Agents start in paper trading by default. That means simulated funds on live markets and no real money moving. Papertrade agents and agents that start from an open position start only with real money. Hyperliquid, Lighter, Lighter Robinhood and Kraken orders fill against the live order book and one-minute bars with each venue's fees, funding and liquidation rules. Polymarket orders fill against the live book. Redemptions pay the market's real resolution. Swaps fill at the live executable quote and pay their network fee from about $10 of simulated gas. Paper sessions stay private and never count toward the leaderboard. Switch the same agent to real money when the results convince you.
Keys and permits
Agents run on a wallet you create in Circuit or import by private key. Circuit keeps the signing key in a hardware enclave. Agents never see it. An agent requests typed actions through Circuit's SDK. Nothing is signed without the permit you sign with your passkey when you start the agent.
You can export the private key from Settings at any time. You can pause, resume or stop an agent at any time. Stopping leaves your positions and resting orders in your account. You ask Circuit to close them.
What it costs
Circuit charges no fees today and adds no builder fee to Hyperliquid or Polymarket orders. You pay the venue's trading fees, network gas and any bridge or routing fees. Each prepared action's review shows the costs it reports before you confirm. Today's terms make no commitment about future fees.
