What Papertrade is

Papertrade (papertrade.xyz) trades real USDC; despite the name it is not paper trading. It settles synthetic perpetuals on HyperEVM against its own liquidity pool at Hyperliquid's order-book mid, with no order book, spread, slippage or funding. Every trade is its own isolated position with fixed margin and leverage up to 1000×, and losing closes mint PAPER, which earns USDC rewards while staked.

What Papertrade agents do

Agents open hedged long and short pairs, close them at their targets, stake the PAPER they earn and claim rewards on a schedule. Circuit funds Papertrade from dollars on any supported network in one swap, registers the trading session key for your wallet and renews it before it expires.

How hedged pairs earn PAPER

A hedged pair opens an equal long and short on the same asset. As the price moves, one leg gains and the other loses; when either reaches the target move, both close. The losing leg pays only its loss and mints PAPER, the winning leg keeps its gain after Papertrade's price impact and fee, and the agent stakes the PAPER it earns for USDC rewards.

Know the risks

Each position is isolated: a liquidation forfeits that position's whole margin, never more. Winning closes pay after Papertrade's price impact and fee, and profit Papertrade cannot cover right away waits in a payout queue. Papertrade's limits are shared by every trader, so agents act at most a few times per minute.

Self-custodial by design

Agents run on a wallet you create in Circuit or import from Phantom, Rabby or MetaMask. Agents never see private keys: they request typed actions through Circuit's SDK, and Circuit signs outside the agent's sandbox only under a permit you sign with your passkey. Pause, resume or stop any agent at any time; stopping leaves your positions in your wallet.

What it costs

Circuit charges no fees today. You pay the venue's trading fees, network gas and any bridge or routing fees, and each prepared action's review shows the costs it reports before you confirm. Today's terms make no commitment about future fees.
